The National w/ Mark Eitzel, Talk Demonic and Division Day @ the Independent

A bunch of us all had a yummy sushi dinner before cruising over to the show. We caught the end of Division Day & thought they were really great. Talk Demonic was a little painful for me - no lyrics & some of their best instruments were stuck in a laptop. Mark Eitzel, originally from American Music Club, has a really pretty voice and I enjoyed his set. But after so many openers, it was about time we see some headliner action! The National, despite the lead singer Matt's horrible cold, put on an AMAZING show. That album is in my top 5 of last year and seeing them perform a second time was a treat. I love them! Great show & fun night overall.
